Ember

Ember Ember Ember Ember Ember Ember Ember Ember

Name: Ember
Date: 07-08-2011
Bait: G1 Parasol
Materials: Acrylic paint, dip resin, apoxie sculpt, thermal dust, Sculpey
Info: When Ember is cold, her charred parts are black with a little hint of red. But when she heats up, Ember's embers glow firey red and orange!

Her embers are made from Apoxie Sculpt that I painted black, then gave orangey red accents. After that, I mixed some gloss with black thermal dust and painted over the fiery parts. This mostly covered the color (I still wanted some to show through!) and since the thermal dust turns clear when it gets hot, she glows! It can be all the way transparent, or partially transparent (it's been really hot down here, which is why it's partially transparent in the other pictures!)

Her wings are made from Apoxie and dip resin. The dip resin is also used on the flames for the fire. It's a really amazing product and super easy to work with!

Her hair is black magic, rain cloud, moonlight, snow white, and probably something else I can't remember. It's partially curled so that it looks like smoke.
